Response to "Harrison Bergeron"

The short story "Harrison Bergeron" starts off by giving back ground information such as the setting and what is going on. The main conflict in this story is Person vs. Machine. Everyone has a dissability according to how good they are at something to where everyone is equal. There have been devices put into the ears of smart people to make noises to distract them when they are thinking.
A couple were sitting on their couch in their home. The man named George was very smart he had a device in his ear to keep him equal to his wife Hazel, who was not the smartest person. Their son, Harrison Bergeron, had been taken by the government because he was good at everything. While George and Hazel were watching ballerinas on their TV, Harrison bursted in and began to dance with one of the ballerinas. He took off her mask that made her appear ugly because she was the prettiest of the ballerinas. The action in the short story began to rise. Harrison removed the handicaps from the musicians who had been playing mediocre music and told them to play the best they could. After that event, the short story reaches it's climax. Harrison and the Ballerina danced and jumped thirty feet in the air to kiss the ceiling. Once they did this they kissed for a long time and after that a woman named Diana Glampers, the person who was in charge of handicapping people, shot Harrison and the ballerina. They died instantly. The climax abruptly ends. The falling action of the story involves Diana pointing the gun at the musicians and telling them to put their handicaps back on. George and Hazels TV tube then burns out. George had gone into the kitchen to get a beer and he comes back to Hazel who had been crying about Harrison's death. George asked her what it was but she can't remember. This is the resolution.
